40th Celebration Kick-Off at Boulder Theater w special guests TBA

40TH Anniversary Celebration with special guests including Hazel Miller and original King’s members from Nashville, Los Angles and Bloomington plus folks who played with the KINGS on their legendary AFTER HOURS JAMS SHOWS AT THE Sheridan during the Telluride Festival.

In 1984 THE KINGS started rehearsals for their first gig at the Boulder Theater. Now 40 years later they are returning to celebrate their 20th album and the year-long party for the band WITH FREDDI GOWDY of the Freddi Henchi Band who joined the KINGS 14 years ago in 2010.

Sounds Exciting! concerts are a great way to enjoy spectacular music, beautiful sunsets and fun summer nights with the whole family.

All seating is first-come, first-served lawn seating, with blankets and low-height lawn chairs permitted.

Season Pass holders will have access to our "Fast Pass" lane and will enjoy expedited entry into each show. 

Concertgoers can bring picnics or enjoy dining options at food and ice cream trucks and the Beer Garden presented by Foothills Credit Union.

A water bottle refill station is on-site.

City Park Jazz returns to the great outdoors for its 37th season!

Lafayette Independence Day - Waneka Lake

Food, funk & fireworks at Waneka Lake with Chris, Freddi & The Kings in Lafayette!

This FREE event features music by local jam band favorite Chris Daniels and the Kings; food from All American Grill, Abo’s Pizza, Tibet’s and Eats and Sweets; a beer garden with craft brews from Liquid Mechanics Brewing Company and other libations from Stem Cider & Wine; as well as kids’ activities, including face painting, a bungee trampoline and bounce house.

At dusk, the fireworks will begin. Attendees are encouraged to bring insect repellent, lawn chairs, blankets and flashlights to enjoy the show.
